INDEX management team are delighted to invite all existing INDEZ affiliates to attend, participate and contribute to INDEX’s first independent online event: The INDEX Open Day!
What are the event details?
On Wednesday the 20th of May 2026, INDEX will run a free online event over 4x two-hour periods of the day to offer as many opportunities as possible for guests around the world to attend.
We will host a series of long and short presentations, with dedicated time per segment for socialising, networking and exchange between speakers, affiliates and guests. Topics will focus on practitioner experiences and their approaches to developing challenges.
What are we hoping to achieve?
The event hopes to achieve several goals:
- Showcasing practice: INDEX practitioners undertake incredible work every day. The event looks to demystify the work and offer insight into what it takes to support and rehabilitate.
- Opening dialogue: INDEX events to-date have been open to the network group only, which is important to best support our practitioners and associates without interference. This event seeks to give relevant non-members an opportunity to learn about the network directly from our members.
- INDEX is growing: Simply, we're keen to celebrate our development!

The event agenda will be set by our fabulous network! We want to hear about what you want to speak about and share with your audiences and will factor this into the design of the day. We propose the following topics:
- Practice focused research endeavours
- Practitioner responses and approaches to nihilistic violence
- Practitioner networks, governments and referral streams
- Practitioner voices: Practitioners to speak about and compare their career experiences, challenges, priorities and wishes for the future
- Creative approaches to the prevention of violent extremism
How can I participate in the Open Day?
INDEXers can take part in the event as a guest, as a speaker, or as a panel moderator. The network can also contribute (and are encouraged!) to share information about the event with any relevant stakeholder they feel would benefit from learning about INDEX, the topics we propose to discuss, or practitioner best practice in general.
