INDEX is the first global professional association for tertiary prevention practitioners in preventing and countering violent extremism (P/CVE). Our mission is simple; to professionalise tertiary prevention of violent extremism.
Over the last two decades, the field of P/CVE, and the number of frontline practitioners have significantly expanded. However, the number of platforms for these practitioners to share their experiences, knowledge, and approaches has not.
INDEX was created by practitioners, for practitioners, to address this gap, and to provide a space specifically for tertiary prevention practitioners from across the globe to engage with each other.
Our Goals
Support the exchange of knowledge and skills among members
Provide a platform for members to address and solve common challenges
Share the experiences and challenges highlighted by members with other stakeholders in the P/CVE space
Support members professionally
Contribute to the professionalization of the field
Network Activities
Through two sets of schedules monthly meetings, the provision of knowledge repository, INDEX contributes directly to the improvement of knowledge and professional cooperation between national and transnational actors, projects, programmes and institutions engaged with the prevention of extremism.
Beyond our scheduled programming INDEX offers free workshops, lecture series, and networking events with our international associates with the aim of strengthening whole-of-society and transnational approaches to preventing extremism and making them accessible across borders.
INDEX also participates in research projects and funded local, regional and international projects to support both it's own goals and related initiatives.
